6 cups sliced fresh peaches
¾ cup sugar
1 tbsp. Lemon juice
1/4 tsp. Cinnamon
2 tbsp. Corn starch


2 cups flour
3 tsp. Baking powder
2 tbsp. Sugar
½ cup butter
2/3 cup milk
1 well-beaten egg


Mix the ingredients in a bowl put in heavy pan and heat till just ready to boil. Put in 2-quart oven ready dish


Mix dry ingredients, cut in butter until mixture is like course crumbles. Add milk to egg, stir in flour mixture until just moistened. Spread dough over hot peaches either by dropping spoonfuls or rolling out dough to cover your dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Bake in 375 oven for 35 – 45 minutes. Serve warn with heavy cream or ice cream.
